MY STORY:
Hello!
My name is Hateya, and I adore editing. I strongly believe that all stories deserve to be told, and editing is just one step in that journey. My main priority will always be you and your story. No matter what happens, you will always come first.
With multiple clients under my belt, I have learned a lot since joining the editing industry. Most of my clients have gone on to successfully self-publish their books (and a few have even been acquired by traditional publishing houses).
I enjoy editing because I have been blessed (and cursed!) with the ability to pick out common mistakes in grammar and storytelling. It is something I have always loved doing, and it has been my dream job since I was a kid.

WHO AM I?
Interests and Hobbies:
I edit... of course.
But aside from editing, what do I like to do for fun?

Well, I—like most of us, I think—really enjoy reading. I am a huge reader! Much like my preferred manuscripts, I adore fantasy and sci-fi. I will probably die with one of those genres clutched in my fingers. But these are not the only books I enjoy. Honestly, if it has words, I will be devouring it.

I love watching movies and TV shows (Game of Thrones, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Star Trek, or any Disney movie). I also love listening to music and playing games (board games or video games). I say I'm going to one day publish one of my novels, but if I'm being honest, I don't know if that day will ever come. I spend my mornings playing with my fur babies, and I spend my evenings curled up with a good book.

I also thoroughly enjoy iced coffee, hot tea, dark chocolate, and ice cream (Wow... Can you tell I'm hungry?)
Previous Experience and Qualifications:
I have run out of fingers and toes to count how many clients I have helped since joining the editing industry.
It all started when I was a kid, obsessed with the idea of becoming a "full-time author" and a "paid editor." I spent years preparing myself for the career path I hoped to be on one day. Little did I know that no amount of schooling would have prepared me for the mess I was about to step into.
I got accepted into an internship with a publishing house where I really began to hone in on my editing abilities and learned the ropes of the publishing industry as a whole. After being offered a full-time position, the company had to sadly shut down, leaving me with an empty promise and crushed dreams.

I was determined not to let my story end there. I began a new chapter in my life, working to develop my own editing company.
Now, many clients later, I am eager to continue helping people make their dreams a reality. I know first-hand how difficult the publishing industry is, but having a dedicated editor does not have to be strenuous. Let me help you through this journey!

I am very passionate and goal-focused. Once I set my mind to helping you with your story, I will never stop until you are satisfied.
I am deeply involved with everything I read. I love to know about the world, the characters, and the reasons why the plot is the way it is.
I tell my clients all the time, "I am not only your editor, but I am also your friend." I want to see your book succeed as much as you do, and I will spend countless hours pouring my heart and soul into it until it is something you are equally in love with and proud of.
